218b Project: Dred Kart
This year's ME 218b project was an autonomous race through an obstacle course! We built a robot which was able to self-navigate around a race course while making decisions on when to shoot a ball into a target and when to cross over a large obstacle (a see-saw which had a 20 degree downhill incline).
The robots received communication from a master device which gave them information on how many laps were left, whether they had successfully completed the tasks, location & orientation of robots, and other status information.
